Hilliard uses 2nd-half spurt to beat Westerville North 35-28
Hilliard scored 21 consecutive points in the second half to stun visiting Westerville North 35-28 in an Ohio Capital Conference Division football game last night.
Trailing 28-14 in the third quarter, Hilliard’s Corey Rose started the comeback, with an 8-yard touchdown run.
In the fourth quarter, Steve Baird’s 1-yard run tied the score at 28 and Ryan Aleshire gave Hilliard (3-4, 1-1) the win with a 3-yard run, his second TD of the game.
Westerville North’s Patrick Brown rushed 24 times for 257 yards and three touchdowns. He scored on runs of 7 and 64 yards, putting the Warriors (5-2, 1-1) ahead 21-14 at halftime, and added a 50-yard TD run in the third quarter.
